Welcome to the Mt Baker Connection

Welcome to the Mt Baker Connection. I have been an avid skier and now snowboarder my entire life and it has always been a dream of mine to give back and build an online community for Mount Baker. A few months ago I began reading about the history of Mount Baker and really became engulfed in the mountain culture of past and present. I found myself unable to put the books down. Finally I just couldn’t take it any longer and decided that I just need to get this website up and running. I have spent the last month building and developing this website and while I recognize that it is still a work in progress, I also realize that all websites are and at some point you just have to launch them.

There are just a few things that I would like to point out in case there are not completely clear. The forum is completely free and you are welcome to post anything that you wish, so long as it is PG rated and appropriate. If you have any ideas for new topics please let me know and I would be happy to add them. Also, as lost blogs are, I would love to have some guest bloggers/writers. If you are passionate about Mt Baker just send me a PM in the forum and I would be happy to set you up with an authors account. This would be a great way for you to share your knowledge and maybe a product if you have a mountain related business that you would like to promote.

While we are on the topic of promotion, Mt Baker Connection is a fully “Do Follow” blog, so your links will be recognized in Google. I choose to create a Do Follow community because it rewards those that are most active. I also have a Top Commentator set up, so the top 10 members with the most comments will receive a link to their website from the homepage of Mt Baker Connection based on a 30 day rotation. Please be advised that this is not an open invitation for spam. If you leave comment spam your comment will definitely be deleted and you the risk of getting on the Akismet list of spammers, which I assure you is not a good thing.

That is about it. Welcome to the Mt Baker Connection Community and Hopefully this is a fun and rewarding project for everyone involved.
